Last Friday, I was sitting at the table reading something online when I looked up and saw this guy out the window. Yes, WOW!

I changed the title from "The Buck" to "The Buck Stops Here" because Roger had such an epiphany!

Happy Holidays to you!

Great buck. There were many that came thru my yard at my old house. Nice to see but boy howdy could they wreck havoc with my trees and garden.
Merry Christmas to you both!

Shush, don't let the hunters know where he is. Just a beautiful animal.
Merry Christmas and a sparkling New Year to you both.

What a handsome, healthy young man he is! As long as he can't jump the deer fence.

Wow - what a find those antlers would be when he sheds them! I never seem to beat the critters to antlers around here :)

Seems to me you guys picked a pretty sweet place to live. The variety of birds, mammals, flora and weather is astounding. All from the comfort of home sweet home!

This boy is a beauty.

They never stick around long enough for me to get a hold of my camera. I don't know how y'all do it.

For today, a few days after the Winter Solstice, I'm pausing in my silent time to say that I love that the buck stopped in to see you two. Wow!

It's raining up here this morning. Not stormy. Not too cold. Not too windy. There is the tiniest bit more daylight now in the ever-shifting dance of light and darkness that marks our years.

KInd wishes always,
