Wordless Wednesday: Life Is Utterly Sublime

  1. Love this particular totem pole of images! Especially that clear bright moon. The clouds are back this evening. The two bald eagle fledglings have been visible at the nest in the cottonwoods.

  2. HEY! What's next to that lizard? A tiny beetle? A grasshopper?

Hope I am there soon, it does indeed look wonderful, marvelous, etc.

  4. Glad you like these photos!

I'm pretty sure the little creature next to the lizard is a cricket. I was glad it was there for perspective. That was a good-sized lizard. Great colors.

  6. HA!Perversity! Irony! Tomfoolery!

Word verification is "angst," and I feel anything but, when I travel here.

Our Midwestern crickets are typically darker in color; the crickets for sale as reptile food at the pet store are small and anemic-looking. The variations among crickets are as interesting as the variations among roaches. Cricket in periphery always makes me eek, "roach!" and I'm then thankful when I see the elbowed back legs and the straight-forwardish antennae, rather than the antennae and legs seeming swept behind in invisible current.

Do roaches have some kind of built-in universal freak-out factor -- do they creep everyone out?

I dig the beefeater lizard's checkered suit. Give him a hat, cane, & taps and there would definitely be dancing!

  7. Hmmm...dragon flies! Thank you much--'R&R' for my birthday greeting.
Perhaps a wish might be a little side visit....long overdue, when we could contemplate the 'aka tombo' (red dragonflies) which inhabit our small lily garden. They produce the finest wine and the hors d'oeuvres leave you wanting more.....
    Thank you, dear Robin...xxx T.
