Our Totem Animal Arrives

This may be the third time we've seen this bobcat walking by our house, but the first time we've gotten its photo. Wednesday morning it walked up the road with such nonchalance, it did not expect the quick human to come out, shouting a warm hello, and clicking a pic with shaking hands.

Here kitty, kitty, kitty!
Nice to have a photograph of her/him after hearing about your wild friend.

It's interesting what that totem animal means spiritually and how it seems to fit

How lucky to have one so close. He seems just curious about you.

Seriously, if I were a biologist surveying bobcat populations, I would just invite you two along for a woods walk.
Maybe you are HIS totem?

Lucky you. And lucky us. We have "our" bobcat that cuts across our woods to the little creek below. We just love seeing him and he seems to ignore our presence.

He/she does seem to have an expression as thought o say, "Oh, hi there, humans." Very casual, just passin' through on a lovely January day.

Amazing that such creatures still appear; I've been thinking there's none of that old forest magic left.

I don't think that I have ever seen a bobcat. They are few and far between here. Thanks for sharing yours!

Wow! That is my new all-time favorite photo of yours. What an enigmatic expression on the bobcat's face. What a beautiful composition.

And I love the double portrait of the two of you that shows up now when you comment.

Beautiful! What is it about wild animals that tugs so at the heart-strings?
