End of August Photos

  1. Great pics! I do love those birds. I'm a bit sad that August is ending, but I won't miss the heat. Well, that is if we have a cool fall. Last year's was much too warm.

  2. Weekend-Windup-- Thank you.

Bill-- Me too! They were so photogenic.

    Colette-- Thank you.

Sharon-- Glad you liked the photos. I don't mind the end of summer. I love fall so much. The migrating birds return, and it is wonderful.

  4. I agree with Scott. That captured my imagination. Both of them frozen but the bird seems not really concerned.

  5. Love the one of roger and the egret! September and October are my favorite months in Humboldt County as well as right here in Whatcom County. It's the light and the feeling in the air and something undefinably beautiful.

  6. Dave-- Makes me wonder if you get fall colors there. So beautiful.

Scott-- It's funny, isn't it. That egret was definitely holding its ground.

Arkansas Patti-- It was quite a moment. That bird did not want to move. We laughed, but did not push it. We just waited til it got tired of us and moved on.

am-- So glad you liked that one! I'm looking forward to fall. Such a wonderful season. Equinox is my favorite.

  9. I'm gong crazy. I've looked at this post a couple of times, then the third time, I saw a photo that I didn't see the first couple of times. Has the view of the sky over the roofs been there all along?
Great photos, all. Especially roger and egret. The one right above is fascinating with the bands of blue.

  10. CCorax-- Yes, the view of the sky has been there all along. Our brains are such interesting beasts, aren't they? So glad you like the photos. Hey, I think of you every time I turn the calendar for a new month. Love seeing your world, CCorax.
