    1. Bill-- We're hoping these four manage to survive these suburban roads. We see them all the time when we're walking into town.

  5. Hmm. A question for the ages. I wonder if their cousins the turkeys could answer that question. We don't see chickens up here, but there are plenty of turkeys. Some of them might even answer, assuming I can get their attention as they drive by.

    1. Mark-- If you get an answer from a turkey, please let us know. There is a Tom we pass on one of our walks, and we always tell him, "You have wings, fly away... go fly away to freedom."

  7. Laughed out loud. And here you had the perfect opportunity to find out the answer to the age old question. I'd always heard it was to prove to the Armadillo that it can be done.

  11. Oh my gosh, that is a scream!!
I assume you are allowed to have chickens in your yards and they escaped from somewhere.
    Have a good weekend!

    1. Cat Lover-- Oh yes, people have chickens (and rabbits, goats, pigs, and turkeys) in their yards. These four live across the street from the houses where they were headed. We watched them grow up. Glad you liked the photos. We had a good laugh about them!
