    Wow! After looking at your beautiful photo, I looked up "Belt of Venus" and "Earth's shadow." When I've seen the sky under those conditions, I had no idea what it was that I was seeing. Until this early morning. Thank you so much for this!

    Our eastern view is perfect for seeing the Earth's shadow. It's always cool to think about seeing the Earth's shadow cast against the sky.

      Mark-- I love seeing it in the morning, looking west and in the evening looking east. Always nice to be reminded that we are on this beautiful round planet.
