We pass this tree on the way up the hill to one of the food markets in town. I see so many thing when I look at it. I posted the image on Facebook and asked friends what they saw and got such wonderful responses. So, I thought I'd share it here on the blog as well. I see women's bodies, a donkey's head, barn owls in profile. What do you see?

I see many bodies intertwined, Robin.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Beatrice. Loads of people getting kind of friendly.
DeleteBeatrice and Linda-- That's what caught my eye!
DeleteElephants feet at the bottom!
ReplyDeleteRed-- Yes! Friends on Facebook pointed that out as well. I see them now too.
DeleteSaw the woman's body, the donkey head and thanks to Red the elephant foot but can't see the owls. Darn. That is a cool tree.
ReplyDeletePatti-- Isn't it wonderful when a tree is so full of stories.
DeleteWell spotted though I cannot see the owl
ReplyDeleteBilly-- Well, it is just a barn owl's face in profile.
DeleteWriting bodies.
ReplyDeleteColette-- Yes.
DeleteWow, what an interesting tree. I see women's bodies too, and I see a couple of fish, one fish with a body and one fish face in profile. I can see a lot of "faces" in it, but not specifically any animal. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteDee- I'm so glad you stopped by and took a look at this beautiful tree with us. Thank you.
DeleteI also saw elephant feet at first sight. It's magnificent tree.
ReplyDeleteSharon-- I love those elephant feet!
DeleteSplendid tree! I see what you see, and the donkey is kissing the side of the head of a smiling Buddha-like treeperson with closed eyes. Or maybe the donkey is kissing the head of a smiling seal.
ReplyDeleteam-- I love what you see. I'm going to look for the Buddha-like treeperson.
DeleteTo me they look like ghosts or spirits, rising up with O-shaped eyes and mouths. I don't see the donkey at all, but I can see the woman's body.
ReplyDeleteSteve-- It is a tree full of ghosts and spirits. Yes, I see that too.
DeleteCan't believe you are posting x-rated photographs now. Oh, wait a minute...it's art, isn't it? There seems something unsettling in the intertwined bodies but it is fascinating. My imagination just takes flight at all the various things I see.
ReplyDeleteNCmountainwoman-- Oh yes, it's definitely the most beautiful natural form of art. It reminded me of a painting.
Deletewomen embracing each other, an orgy of praise.
ReplyDelete37paddington-- Yes, an orgy of praise. Love that.
DeleteNow that's my kind of tree. You may remember the twisted maple at the edge of our front yard. We saved that one precisely because of its weird shape. And I would love to have the one you photographed somewhere in our yard.
ReplyDeleteMark-- I'm going to check your blog to see the photo of your twisted maple. I'm so glad you like this tree. It really is quite a beauty.
