September was a truly beautiful month here. The weather has been
warm, and the skies have been full of beauty almost everyday. Cloud
formations that sent me running for the camera, sun and moon rises that
confirmed our earth's splendor.
One
morning before sunrise, out on our first walk of the day, there was a
rainbow. It was not raining, but it had rained in the night. One end of
the rainbow drifted into the clouds and spread out its beautiful colors.
It
really was a beautiful month. But really, who am I trying to kid? The
best part of September has been discussion of IMPEACHMENT!

Well, we were doing well till the last few days of the month when band after band of rain has chased in from the west. Our PM has also been reminded sharply by our courts that he is not above the law.
ReplyDeleteJohn-- We're also moving into an autumn wet spell here as well. The garden loves it, but I will miss all the sunshine. I love that the courts there rebuked your PM. I did my happy dance!
DeleteAside from Dorian's visit, September has been quite beautiful here too. I've been thinking about the PNW the past few days as I so often departed right about now from Ontario to spend a few weeks tripping around in Oregon and California. So many good memories of autumn along the rivers - Rogue, Applegate, Santiam, Illinios, Smith, Chetco, Winchuk, Eel, and others. I do miss those wanderings but making new memories along rivers and coves here. Many of my friends in the southwest and PNW are pretty stoked about the latest in politics down there. I would be too.
ReplyDeletebev-- Fall here is such a beautiful time of the year. The rivers are getting replenished with nice rains. Oh yes, we are definitely watching with some glee (and also fear) the decline of that beast.
DeleteHahahaha! Yes.
ReplyDeleteColette-- So glad you liked the humor!
DeleteNow I know where the good weather was. we had a miserable Sept. weather wise. Some really good and some really bad with impeachment. Talk of civil war from the president is very scary.
ReplyDeleteRed-- I hope your weather improves there, so there's a respite before winter. Oh yes, things are definitely wild here with talk impeachment, civil war, and treason. A bit scary.
DeleteYes, September was a good month for us, too. Your images are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSabine-- I love knowing that the weather was good there too. Yes! I'm so glad you liked the images.
DeleteAmazing sky shots and AMEN with finally making 45 face up to the music. We may survive this yet.
ReplyDeletePatti-- I'm so glad you liked the photos. Thank you for that. I'm hoping we will survive the next few months. It's going to be quite a process.
DeleteGreat skies...and that rainbow in the clouds is a first (for me anyway!)
ReplyDeleteBarbara-- Glad you liked the photos. Rainbows do some interesting things sometimes!
DeleteLovely photographs of your lovely September. But the best picture I saw in September was Speaker Pelosi in that bright blue dress standing in front of those American flags.
ReplyDeleteNCmountainwoman-- Glad you liked these photos. I love the picture you describe. Yes, in every way!
DeleteBeautiful skies! That rainbow is especially spectacular. Impeachment IS a tantalizing prospect, but I dread the divisions it will create. I don't think we should settle for illegal behavior in the White House, but at the same time, I wish we could all just get along. :(
ReplyDeleteSteve-- Glad you liked these sky photos. I agree with you about dreading the divisions. We are really in such big deep trouble here with every layer of the problems. I'm not sure what's the best way to proceed at all.
DeleteRobin, great photos. And comment.
ReplyDeleteCatalyst-- Thank you for that!
DeleteYour sky shots are beautiful. Impeachment would be even more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDavid-- Thank you so much for you kind words and for making me laugh about impeachment!
DeleteSuch beautiful skies. The sublime coexists with the profane, although impeachment would kick that meter back over to sublime. Thanks for sharing your world with us.
ReplyDelete37paddington-- Oh yes, we often marvel at how the sublime and the profane coexist. Yes to impeachment!
DeleteYou have shared some beautiful skies here, Robin. And tis the season for all tyoes of ghouls and goblins even in DC.
