It's My Twin Brother's Birthday...

...and you know what that means. It's my birthday too! So, here is a bit of a look back at our 68 revolutions around the sun.

We went from this:

1953

1956 or 1957
1989

To this:
2008

2016

2019

In the blink of an eye! I haven't seen Michael since this last photo was taken. He lives 350 miles south of us, and we haven't gone on a road trip in more than a year. We have become even more ancient senior citizens, although we're still total goofball kids at heart.

Have a very happy day! Eat well, sip wine and take a walk, even if you need an umbrella to do so.
I'm so glad I stumbled...very much by accident...across your blog all those years ago. I feel blessed to have come to know you through this blog. Blessings of the Earth today.

  9. Happy Birthday to you and Michael. What a pair of cuties you were. Had to laugh at the 1957 photo. I was graduating high school that year.
All brothers are great but I can only imagine the bond of a twin. Hope you can get together when all this mess calms down.

  14. Happy 68th Birthday to you and Michael! What a joy it is to see these photos, especially that one from last year!

Your first photo is reminding me that our family probably had our first television set in 1954 when I was 4 years old. I remember watching Crusader Rabbit, Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, The Lone Ranger, and Brother Buzz (A Kind Bee). There was also a TV show called Cris Cuts (sp?) designed to teach children to draw geometric shapes. I remember being 4 years old and holding some kind of paper up to the TV set and tracing the geometric shapes with crayons.

I thought I remembered Brother Buzz from 1954 but this says he didn't come along until 1957!

  15. Happy birthday dear Robin! And to your twin brother too. I LOVE seeing these photos of you both through the years. How beautiful you two are. I have always romanticized what it would be like to have a twin to walk through life with. It looks as if you two have the closeness and warmth that animates my fantasy. Also, I forgot that you are a Taurus woman too!

  16. As long as you can remain goofballs you will never be old. Like most other children, I wished I had a twin. Lucky you...you did have one. Belated birthday wishes to both of you goofballs.
