Four Days Of Sky

The air started to clear a bit a few days ago, so we went for our early morning walks. It's interesting to look back at these photos and see what we considered clearer air.

The few days of clear skies have been so good and uplifting in every way. We may be getting more smoke in the next few days, but we're hoping it won't be as bad as it's been.

I am purposefully avoiding writing about politics here. It's really all too much, and you all know how we feel about all of it.

  2. It really is too much and probably the reason I am responding to your post at 3:00am. Glad it’s clearing.

  3. Happy to see some clear sky your way. And yes, even I am tired of politics and trying to avoid writing about it. But it preys on my mind, and makes it impossible for me to focus on any thing else. Your photos help.

    1. Colette-- Preys is the right word for the predatory politics happening in our country right now. But we are having another beautiful clear-sky day, and that makes us happy... sort of.

  4. Wow that blue sky was a delightful shock. Hope you can keep up the clear air. Politics is so wearing that we need some brightness to make it through.

  5. I'm a big science fiction fan, have ready many books about populating new planets with different colors and biomes. in reality, I don't see how we'd survive when even a week of no blue sky depresses us. blue and green are so ingrained in our feelings of well being. so glad you got a few days respite.

    1. ellen-- Yes, it's true about blue and green colors. Isn't it interesting how they work on our psyches. We're enjoying another day of respite here.

  6. We've had smoke too but nothing like you've had. As for politics it's sad but keep in the game. That's the only way things will get better.

    1. Red-- I've seen maps that tracked the west coast smoke. It's incredible how far it has traveled. Oh yes, we're definitely staying in the game.

    1. Barbara-- I'm hoping for rain too, but I think we're looking at warmer temperatures coming. Not good. I'm hoping for better times ahead.

  11. Even the skies here in NJ were hazy because of the fires. I'm glad things are clearing up for you. I'm with you on the no politics vibe. It's been too hard for me to write anything lately.

    1. Sharon-- I was really surprised how far the smoke traveled. I can't even read the headlines anymore without getting bummed out.

  13. Glad to "see" that things are improving from last week, Andrea. Hope you can safely resume your walks. Agreed that the less said about politics, the better as there is no much good.

    1. Beatrice-- Yes, things have definitely gotten better. We're expecting HOT temperatures in a few days and that's going increase the fire risk again though. So we're waiting to see. There is really not much to be said about politics these days without screaming.
