When I photographed this tree in our yard in the Sierra foothills in 2010 it was the first winter we were in our new home there. I remember when I saw this low morning sun looking like a star that I understood the inspiration for the star on Christmas trees.
Take care and stay healthy and safe, friends.
That's a decade ago! It's quite dizzying, looking back, especially with all the online records we keep now.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!

DeleteLove seeing our "star" shining through the evergreen in your photo. Happy Christmas to you and your loved ones. This season of celebration has some definite quirks from the normal...but love oozes onward in whatever way we can share it!
ReplyDeleteBarbara-- I'm so glad you like the "star." Yes, this is definitely a season of quirks, but love shines through too.

ReplyDeleteBilly-- It's a rainy blustery windy day here. Merry Christmas!
DeleteYou and Roger have lived in four of my favorite places that I have visited on this earth. Thank you so much for all these years of sharing your photos that are just like being there for me. So good to see the Sierra foothills tree with the star again! We had a little snow a few days ago but it has rained since, melting much of the snow. As a child growing up on the San Francisco Peninsula, I went outside and played in the sunshine on every single Christmas Day that I can remember!
ReplyDeleteam-- We have moved around a lot, haven't we? All beautiful places, and we still love them all. I like imagining you as a child playing in the sunshine on Christmas day. Sweet in every way.
DeletePerfect photo Robin. Brilliant. Best wishes to you and Roger too.
