The Spiders Are Prepping For Halloween

It is definitely spider season here and perfect for Halloween. Many of our neighbors have decorated their houses for the coming "knock-knock trick or treat" day, but we're leaving it up to the very reliable spiders to do the work for us. This is what our front-yard fence looks like.

We think this is spooky enough. What do you think?

BOO!

Our favorite pumpkin in the neighborhood

We love spiderweb season, not so much in the house, but definitely outside catching the morning light.

    1. EllenD-- Yes, they are definitely in the Halloween spirit. It surprises me how many people put up fake spiderwebs. The real ones everywhere.

  7. I love the spider webs. Our spider season is about done thankfully. not that I don't like spiders, I do, it's just I'm tired of walking into webs they spin across the walk paths around the house.

    1. ellen-- Luckily we don't walk into the spiderwebs here. We used to do that when we lived in the Sierra foothills. They really are true little artists.

    1. Ally Bean-- That pumpkin reminds me so much of the pumpkin carvings my father used to make. He was in the veggie produce business and he made some fine Halloween pumpkins. Happy Halloween!

  14. Beautiful and more than enough. Holiday celebrations often involve a lot of plastic and junk so it's good environmentally to leave it up to the spiders I reckon.
