When A Tree Looks Back

My twin brother was waiting in a parking lot the other day. He took a look around and noticed that this tree was looking back at him. It's the bark of a Eucalyptus tree.

I hope you'll click on the pic to get a look at that eye. You see it, don't you? It sees you too!

  4. I love "found faces" like this. There's a term for the human tendency to turn certain arrangements of shapes into a face -- I forget what it's called.

    1. Steve-- I thought of you when I posted this pic. I'm so glad you stopped by to take a look. When you see faces in things it's called Pareidolia. I tend to do that all the time.

  5. I have a favorite trail to hike and I always look for my "listening tree" as the tree has what looks like a giant ear sticking out of its trunk. I always stop to talk! :)

  6. Could be one of the Ents who saved the day in the Battle of Helm's deep at the end of Lord of the Rings. When all seemed lost, the Ents appeared. Maybe the tree was there to reassure your brother and all of us. Who knows? (-:
