We've been walking past this pumpkin since Halloween. Whenever we walk by I think, this is our future, pumpkins just do it much faster than we do. It's an interesting view.
Roger and I have been blogging here for
18 years. We love sharing our views of the world. For now we're
going to take a break. Unless something truly stunning, amazing,
spectacular, unusual, profound, or utterly mind-boggingly unique
happens... we'll see you in 2023. We'll keep reading your blogs and commenting. So we hope you'll keep at it, friends.
Have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year! Thank you for stopping by.
I so understand the sentiment and enjoy the break but please know you will be missed and hope you do stop by to chat. We will see you here in the new year.
ReplyDeletePatti-- I know I left a comment here for you, but it disappeared. That's crazy. Thank you for your kind words. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, my friend.
DeleteI'll certainly miss your blogs...especially the wonderful skies that you know so much about. We may all end up a pile of vegetation, and thus might fertilize some new growth, but oh, in the meantime...we're loving, thinking, talking, writing, walking, looking, laughing beings!
ReplyDeleteBarbara-- Thank you for your kind words. Yes, in the meantime we are here and still alive... time to enjoy it all!
DeleteHave a nice relaxing break and see you when you return.
ReplyDeleteellen-- Thank you. I hope to be back renewed and inspired.
DeleteEnjoy your break and i look forward to seeing you in 2023.
ReplyDeleteRed-- I look forward to being back in 2023 and sharing life again here on the blog!
DeleteEllenD-- Yes, after 18 years it is definitely time for an overdue vacation. I look forward to having new posts and reading your comments again.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation from blogging. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteColette-- Thank you! Cheers!
DeleteEnjoy the break. Happy solstice! We will await your return as we await the return of the light.
ReplyDeleteC.Corax
CCorax-- Happy solstice to you, my friend. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Yes to the return of the light.
DeleteEnjoy your break! Tara
ReplyDeleteTara-- Thank you! We're loving it so far.
DeleteOh, no! But what of those wonderful sky photos? What of the memories of Ginsburg and Kerouac and the others? Please don't enjoy yourselves too much. Come back renewed but come back!
ReplyDeleteCatalyst-- Just reading the names "Ginsburg and Kerouac" made me smile and remember why we started blogging. Thank you for your kind words. I'm sure we'll be back and hopefully renewed.
DeleteEnjoy your downtime. I bug out of blogland every so often and it's therapeutic. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteAlly-- I'm enjoying it so far. I especially like not having to think about what to post next. Freedom! Happy holidays to you and your loved ones.
DeleteEnjoy your break but know we will miss you. I, for one, am anxious to hear how the fox pee worked out as a skunk repellant.
ReplyDeleteMollyTrolley-- We. haven't tried the fox pee yet. We haven't smelled the skunk in our yard for a while. They do tend to change "homes" frequently. When it returns, we will try the fox pee. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your kind words.
DeleteThe British actor David Niven wrote a novel called Go Slowly, Come Back Quickly. So that's what I'll say about your hiatus.
ReplyDeletePaul-- I'm enjoying my time away for now. I'm sure we'll be back some time in 2023. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
DeleteI take little breaks sometimes too. I am just back from one. See you here when you return! Hugs, dear friends.
ReplyDelete37paddington-- I'm looking forward to the month off. Hugs to you too, dear friend.
DeleteYou know I thought you might be going to do that. Taking a break does help you but it also makes you think about what you want to do. Sometimes I think I took too many breaks this year because my blog has become less by one. Sometimes I feel I write too much and think I should do less.
ReplyDeleteHave a good break but do not forget to come back, we will miss you
Billy-- I've been enjoying the time without having to think about posting here. I'm hoping I'll feel inspired by the new year. I'll keep reading your blog and be grateful that you will keep on posting. Take care there, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
DeleteI guess that's ALL of our futures, after all! Enjoy your little blog break. I'm glad you're still reading and commenting -- it's nice to hear from you regularly one way or another. :)
ReplyDeleteSteve-- You made me laugh, yes that's ALL of our futures. I'm enjoying the blog break very much. It's nice to not have to think about what to write. I'm so glad that my blogging friends are still blogging. Checking in on my favorite blogs is one of my favorite morning rituals.
DeleteEnjoy your break. I picture you two on your walks and in your garden. Now I’ll picture you hunkered down for the holidays. All the best Robin❤️
ReplyDeleteAnonymous-- Thank you for your kind words. We are hunkered down. It's been cold here (29 degrees this morning!) and clear and beautiful. Happy Holidays to you, whoever you are!
DeleteAre you ok? I saw from am's blog that there was some kind of earthquake?
ReplyDelete37paddington-- We're okay. I just put up a new blog post about the earthquake. It was definitely a big shake. Thank you for checking in.
